I always believed that there are a hundred of opportunities in our lives but we just failed to see and grasp its worth, even just let it slipped away. I for one was placed in a circumstance that everything came into my life like a whirlwind. Married at a young age of 22, where things came so unexpectedly and unplanned. This never crossed into my thoughts but It happened. We started from scratch, where both are unemployed and hurdled through life’s struggles, difficulty to the highest level, and stormed with challenges.

Today, in the book of Romans “...where sin increased, grace overflowed all the more, so that, as sin reigned in death, grace also might reign through justification for eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord”. I may have sinned and disobeyed my parents but their love must be unconditional. With open arms they forgave me for my shortcomings and help me to rise up. And in the gospel of Luke, when Jesus said to his disciples: “Gird your loins and light your lamps and be like servants who await their master’s return from a wedding”. My life was not perfect; I never value PREPAREDNESS until I was faced with the consequences of my impulsive acts. But God’s love and compassion must be great that He has blessed us much with more than I deserve. I have been gifted with two wonderful and beautiful children. Beyond blessed and full of gratitude for having a supportive and loving husband. We didn’t start this family in a silver platter but for 17 years and counting of married life, our lives are full of ups and downs and road was never smooth. Yet I believed that if we have God in our life everything will fall into the right place.

It is important in life that we have to STOP and take things slowly, LOOK around and see the possibilities that opportunities are within reach if we just knew how to LISTEN with our heart and mind. We may fail but never lose hope for as long as we live there is always the promise of tomorrow. Give your best. Your attitudes and the choices you make today will be your life tomorrow, build it wisely.

Through what do we earn God's favor? We should pray because what is offered to God in prayer is very pleasing to him: our childlike trust, the recognition of our need to be helped and our offering ourselves to God. St. Arnold Janssen
